Teknosa, a subsidiary of Sabanci Holding, grew by 133% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year, reaching a turnover of ₺6.6 billion and a net profit of ₺142 million.

According to the statement made by the company, Teknosa, one of the leading brands of technology retailing and e-commerce in Turkiye, continues to increase its success rate in the first quarter of 2023 with the investments it has made to further strengthen the customer experience in every field from market place transformation to service development.

Continuing its steady growth with the innovations it has signed to meet all the technology needs of its customers with the best experience, Teknosa achieved a growth of 133% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year, reaching a turnover of ₺6.6 billion and a net profit of ₺142 million. Continuing to bring teknosa.com, which it transformed into a giant marketplace in February 2022, to consumers with many innovations, Teknosa also increased its gross transaction volume (GMV) in e-commerce to ₺1.3 billion with a growth of 248%.

Teknosa General Manager Sitare Sezgin, whose views were given in the statement, stated that they managed to grow steadily with the breakthroughs they made in multi-channel.

Sezgin said:

“With our first and pioneering practices that we have implemented in order to provide our customers with the best experience from all of our channels, we reached a turnover of ₺6.6 billion with a growth of 133% in the first quarter of this year. I congratulate all my teammates who contributed to this success. At the beginning of this year, we mobilized to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster that shook our country deeply. At first, we provided support to meet the technological needs in the region, and then we worked to contribute to the sales of our business partners in the earthquake zone. We started to support our business partners in the earthquake zone, who sell through the marketplace, to highlight their products on teknosa.com by not applying any commissions or deductions.’

Noting that they have reconstructed and expanded the Technology for Women project, one of the longest-running social responsibility projects in Turkiye, which they have been carrying out for 16 years, Sezgin said, “We will continue to increase our support in the region with sustainable and permanent projects. On the other hand, we did not slow down in our sustainable investments throughout Turkiye. While growing our digital channels and marketplace with new competencies, we brought our new stores together with our customers in Ankara Vega AVM Officer Houses, Kayseri Almer AVM, Istanbul Beylikdüzü Anpa Gross Mega AVM and Istanbul Yenibosna Starcity Outlet AVM. We added tablet and automatic Turkish coffee machines to our private brand Preo product range, which was established in 2015. With our TeknoHizmet brand, we are moving decisively towards establishing Turkiye’s largest service ecosystem in electronic products.’

Sezgin stated that while continuing to increase customer satisfaction at all contact points, his achievements were deemed worthy of many national and international awards, ‘We will continue to create more value for all our stakeholders, our industry and our country.’
