The 86-kilometer migration route of the Kayis was opened to ecotourism

In the Domanic district of Kutahya, the 86-kilometer migration route used by the Kayis (Kayi Tribe) in the establishment of the Ottoman State is brought to ecotourism. While opening the migration route determined by the General Directorate of Forestry, Deputy General Director of Forestry Mustafa Ozkaya said, “As the General Directorate of Forestry, we are already intertwined with nature and we care about nature, we care about the environment. It is our common goal to pass on this epic struggle to future generations.”

The General Directorate of Forestry has completed the preparations for the 86-kilometer migration route used by the Kayis, under the auspices of Ertugrul Gazi, the father of Osman Gazi, the founder of the Ottoman State, on their way to Domanic, to bring them into ecotourism. After the route was determined, the General Directorate of Forestry organized a promotional program in the Domanic district of Kutahya.

Domanic District Governor Muhammed Enes Ipek, Domanic Mayor Sahvet Erturk, Cukurca Mayor Emin Tasgin, Deputy General Director of Forestry Mustafa Ozkaya, Ozgur Balci, Head of the Non-Wood Products and Services Department, Hasan Keskin, Kutahya Forest Regional Manager, Cavit Cetin Guner, who plays the character of Dogan Alp in the TV series Dirilis Ertugrul, as well as social media phenomena, forest workers and citizens. attended the program at the Hayme Ana Tomb in Carsamba Village.

During the route tour, which was attended by Deputy General Director of Forestry Mustafa Ozkaya and his entourage, yesterday, Camlica village, Bercin Tower, Domanic Ebe Hatun Pinegrove, Pazaralani, Tefekkur Hill, Topukyayla Nature Park, Domanic Frogs migration route, Catalaalic area, Sefa village, Karagol, Kizil Saray, Cukurca pond, Selim Dede recreation area, Ilicaksu Sarikiz recreation area and Domurkoy Mizik Pine were visited. In addition to horses, the participants used bicycles and ATVs during the trip. Locally dressed women accompanied the group.

Deputy General Director of Forestry Mustafa Ozkaya said, “Our ancestors started this migration in an epic struggle to make this land our homeland, and the migration stopped and was fixed in Anatolia. As the General Directorate of Forestry, we are already intertwined with nature and we care about nature, we care about the environment. It must be our common goal to pass on the epic struggle to future generations. In line with these goals, we want to start this walk again with our brothers in Kutahya and Domanic, we want to walk together. We want to achieve results and goals together. I hope that our ecotourism route and walking path will be beneficial for everyone.”

The promotional program ended with the entertainment organized by the local artists of Domanic around the Oba tents and campfire set up in Catalalic.
