The Dairy Sector Aims to Grow Its Market with Innovative Products

Harun Çallı, President of the Packaged Milk and Dairy Products Manufacturers Association (ASÜD), emphasized that the success industrialists achieve in export markets will stabilize the prices of raw milk and meat within the country. He said, “This way, our industrialists will be able to offer products produced to world standards to our consumers at more advantageous prices. We aim to grow the market with innovative products.”

Çallı highlighted the undisputed importance of milk for individuals of all ages, noting that the perspective of consumers towards healthy and hygienic products changed after the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a better understanding of the importance of packaged food.

He pointed out a noticeable increase in the demand for packaged dairy products in the stages of production, transport, and storage, and emphasized that personalized products gained value as immunity became a priority.

“Our dairy industry’s production capacity and technological equipment are increasing” Çallı highlighted that the number of facilities in Turkey approved by the European Union (EU) has reached 40, stating, “The production capacity and technological equipment of our dairy industry are increasing day by day. Our facilities have a high standard capable of producing products for consumers all around the world.”

He explained that the success of industrialists in export markets will stabilize the prices of raw milk and meat produced by farmers within the country, adding, “This way, our industrialists will be able to continue offering products produced to world standards to our consumers at more advantageous prices. We aim to grow the market with innovative products.”

Çallı underlined the need for a support model that will develop both milk producers and industrialists to sustain the presence of producers in global markets.
