The Housing Price Index increased by 9.3% in March

The Housing Price Index increased by 9.3% in March compared to the previous month and became 347.5.

The Housing Price Index (KPI) data for the period of March 2022 has been announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).

The (KFE) (2017=100), calculated to monitor the quality-adjusted price changes of houses in Turkey, increased by 9.3% in March compared to the previous month and was recorded as 347.5.

While the Housing Price Index increased by 110.0% on an annual basis in March, the real increase in this period was 29.7%.

Looking at the change in the housing price index for the three big cities, there was an increase of 9.8%, 9.6% and 10.6% in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, in March compared to the previous month. Index values increased by 122.0% in Istanbul, 111.7% in Ankara and 105.9% in Izmir compared to the same month of the previous year.
