The whole world will be able to shop through ‘turkishsouq.com’ established in cooperation with PTT and Qatar.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoglu said, “Through this platform, products are exported to 47 different countries from England to Italy, from Sweden to Portugal, from Russia to Australia, from Canada to Brazil.”

Adil Karaismailoglu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, received Faleh Al Naemi, CEO of Qatar Post, in his office as part of the Turkey-Qatar e-Commerce Cooperation Project. Emphasizing that the deep-rooted ties of friendship, brotherhood and cooperation between Turkey and Qatar are valuable and important for the stability of both countries and the region, Karaismailoglu, said that during the period of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, which once again reveals how important both communication and transportation are in meeting the vital needs of people, Turkey and Qatar further strengthen their relations and make everyone happy.

Karaismailoglu, stating that PTT is one of the distinguished organizations with its 180-year long history serving in all areas of life from postal services to banking, from logistics services to e-commerce. And he reminded that PTT, keeping up with the digital transformation taking place in the world, started its commercial activities in the field of e-commerce in 2012 with the brand PttAVM.com.

Stating that “PttAVM.com” offers its customers a quality shopping experience with millions of products and affordable prices that address different needs and styles, Karaismailoglu, noted that PTT started joint work with Qatar in 2017 in order to add a global dimension to its e-commerce activities and to contribute to e-export.

Karaismailoglu stated that with the “turkishsouq” (Turkishsuk) platform established as a result of the works, thousands of Turkish products were offered to the service of the people of Qatar and that a new one was added to the concrete cooperation areas between countries.

Karaismailoglu stated that the cooperation in the field of e-commerce was successful and in 2019, with the extension “turkishsouq.com”, it crossed the borders of Qatar and turned into a platform on a global scale.

“Through this platform, products can be exported to 47 different countries, from England to Italy, from Sweden to Portugal, from Russia to Australia, from Canada to Brazil. Thanks to this cooperation, PTT has made an important initiative in the field of e-export, which is supported by its strong logistics infrastructure on behalf of our country, and ensured the supply of approximately 300 thousand of our products to the world market. I hope the international launch of the platform will be beneficial for our countries.

Minister expressed his gratitude to the Qatarians for their support for the nomination, referring to the candidacy for the Postal Business Council and Administrative Council to be held within the scope of the 27th World Postal Union Congress, which is planned to be held in Ivory Coast in August.

Karaismailoglu emphasized that they care about the cooperation between PTT and Qatar’s national postal organization, Qatar Post, which is one of the institutions that the country is proud of with its deep-rooted history, service experience and social trust from the Ottoman to the Republic in the field of transportation and communication, and wished the project to be beneficial to the producers, the business world and the peoples.

Qatar Post CEO Al Naemi stated that today, turkishsouq’s e-export platform is handled with its national and international nature, and said that all world rights have the opportunity to purchase Turkish products through e-commerce.

Stating that Qatar Post, Turkish Post and PTTAVM have taken an important step, Al Naemi said, “As of today, this platform has been offered to all people in the world. After we started our experience, there are 50 countries that demand products in ‘turkishsouq’. When the international marketing is started, all people on earth will benefit from Turkish products.”
