THY and GOL Airlines signed a codeshare and frequent flyer program agreement

Turkish Airlines (THY) signed a codeshare and frequent flyer program agreement with Brazil-based airline company GOL Airlines.

THY, which organizes reciprocal flights 7 times a week from its home base Istanbul Airport to the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, with this agreement, its passengers from Africa, Asia, Far East and the Middle East, to the cities where GOL Airlines flies in Brazil, and also to the cities where GOL Airlines flies. will enable them to reach Asuncion, Santiago, Montevideo and Lima points in the region. Passengers will be able to purchase their tickets directly from THY sales channels.

With the agreement, which will begin after being approved by the Brazilian authorities, the two airlines also cooperated in the field of the frequent flyer program. Miles&Smiles and Smiles loyalty program members will have the opportunity to earn and spend miles while traveling with both airlines, with the integration of passenger programs, which will start with spending miles first.

IT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO COMMERCIAL RELATIONS

THY General Manager Bilal Eksi stated that with this agreement, they will offer passengers an alternative travel experience on Brazil domestic flights with GOL in the continuation of the Istanbul-Sao Paulo direct flights and said, “It will be a pleasure for us to contribute to the commercial relations between our countries through the partnership.”
