Togg Chairman Fuat Tosyalı announced at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich that the company has no plans to sell its vehicles in Germany at a lower factory price than in Türkiye. Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş also confirmed that development has started on a new compact model, the T8X, which the company aims to launch earlier than industry norms.
Speaking at the fair, Tosyalı said: “Our factory exit price in Germany will not be cheaper than in Türkiye. Each country’s final vehicle price differs due to taxes such as VAT and excise duties, but our base pricing remains constant.” He emphasized that both the T10F and T10X received the highest five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, underscoring confidence in the quality of Togg vehicles.
No Plans for New Investors
Responding to speculation about potential partnerships, including with Chinese investors, Tosyalı dismissed the claims: “We started with five shareholders and we are satisfied. There is no need for a new investor. We do not have any discussions for partnerships, nor are we open to it. However, we work with suppliers worldwide to enhance our technology.”
Germany Pre-Sales to Begin September 29
Togg will open pre-orders for its models in Germany on September 29, 2025, marking the company’s entry into Europe. Following Germany, the company plans to expand into France and Italy. Tosyalı added that Togg expects strong demand in Germany, similar to the 177,000 pre-order requests received when the T10X was first launched in Türkiye.
Future Plans: IPO and Battery Innovation
On the question of a public offering, Tosyalı stated: “Exit is not an option, but every company should consider an IPO as part of its roadmap. Not today, but in the future Togg must go public so that Turkish investors can also share in our success.”
CEO Karakaş confirmed that Togg is preparing for LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, while continuing to collaborate with leading global battery suppliers.
New Model T8X in Two Years
Karakaş revealed that work has already begun on the company’s third model, the T8X, a smaller sibling of the T10X. “Normally, a new model like this would take 2.5 years to develop, but we are working to release it within 2 years,” he said.
Karakaş also noted that Togg will soon roll out a hybrid dealership model in Türkiye, beginning with 5–6 locations in the next few months, before expanding further domestically and across Europe.
Competition and Market Outlook
Addressing competition from Chinese manufacturers, Tosyalı said: “We are not afraid of competition as long as it takes place under equal conditions. If foreign companies invest here and contribute to the local ecosystem, they are welcome. What matters is that they become part of our industrial community.”
Togg’s executives underlined their commitment to both domestic and international markets, highlighting Germany as the gateway to Europe. “Germany is the largest and most competitive market. If you can succeed here, you can succeed anywhere,” Karakaş concluded.
