Fiat, Renault, and Ford Lead Car Sales in the Turkish Automotive Market
In the first six months of this year, Fiat, Renault, and Ford emerged as the top-selling brands in Turkiye’s automobile and light commercial vehicle market. According to data compiled by the AA from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), vehicle sales in Turkiye rose by 3.7% year-on-year, reaching a total of 577,981 units.
Key Highlights and Market Trends
- Automobile Sales: Car sales increased by 7.3% to 462,955 units.
- Light Commercial Vehicles: Sales in this segment decreased by 8.7%, totaling 115,026 units.
Leading Brands and Sales Figures
In the January-June period, Fiat topped the sales charts with 71,021 units sold, followed by Renault with 65,424 units, and Ford with 44,962 units. Volkswagen and Chery rounded out the top five with 41,907 and 34,501 units sold, respectively.

Luxury Car Sales and New Entrants
Among luxury brands, DS sold 1,127 units, Porsche 511, and Lexus 312. Other notable sales included Maserati (131), Jaguar (37), Bentley (19), Ferrari (12), Lamborghini (10), Aston Martin (8), and Alpine (7).
Togg delivered 13,021 units in the first half of the year, while Tesla’s sales reached an estimated 3,082 units in June, despite not officially reporting to ODMD.
Light Commercial Vehicle Segment
Ford led the light commercial vehicle market with 29,688 units, followed by Fiat with 27,490 units, and Volkswagen with 11,227 units. Renault and Citroen completed the top five with 8,082 and 6,553 units, respectively.
The data highlights the dominant position of local production brands in Turkiye’s automotive market, showcasing robust sales figures despite economic challenges.
