Trendyol joins UN Global Compact signatories

Trendyol, which recently announced the ‘Sustainable Impact Plan’, which it developed with the belief that a sustainable future will be possible with the steps to be taken today, said: By joining the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest sustainability initiative and voluntary leadership platform, it has committed to comply with the 10 principles under the main headings of human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption and to report the responsible business practices it follows every year.

As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, Trendyol aims to make its social, economic and environmental commitments and practices more systematic. It also shares the responsibility of achieving a better world by supporting the UN’s goals.

With the Goodness in Basket Movement, more than ₺5 million was provided to NGOs in 2 years

According to the information provided, Trendyol, a signatory of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a joint initiative of UN Women and UN Global Compact, supports women entrepreneurs and enables more than 300,000 vendors and more than 30 million customers all over Turkiye to become partners in the solution of social problems.

Trendyol, which has gathered 56 NGOs operating in different fields under one roof, has provided NGOs with more than ₺5 million in 2 years with the Goodness in the Basket Movement, contributes to the growth of their businesses by providing technology, financing, marketing and training support with the programs it has implemented to bring women into the digital economy.

Trendyol has recently launched the Villages of Tomorrow project with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in order to increase employment, strengthen production, and support rural development by preserving cultural values by bringing technology opportunities to villages.
