According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the increase in vegetable (excluding potatoes and some tuberous plants) expenditures was followed by the increase in pasta types with 12.72%, women’s clothing with 12.38%, stationery and drawing materials with 11.79%.
Other products with the highest price increase in October included eggs and egg-related products with 9.62%, men’s clothing with 9.40%, and washing machines with 9.11%, dryer, dishwasher, water (mains water) with 7.17%, household cleaning materials with 6.03%, cheese with 5.40%.
Last month, the highest price decrease was 19.42% for pets and other related products. This is followed by electrical appliances used in personal care with 4.21%, intercity passenger transportation by road with 2.90%, package tours with 2.58%, margarine with 2.34% and fresh fish and seafood with 2.28%.
Liquid hydrocarbons with 1.69%, kitchen furniture with 0.35%, jewellery, watches and wristwatches with 0.05%, and bedroom furniture with 0.31% were listed among other products whose prices decreased the most in October.
