Türk Telekom has made its AI-powered EyeMo software available free of charge to individuals with muscular disorders such as ALS and paralysis, enabling users to interact with the digital world using only their eye movements.
According to a statement from the company, EyeMo was developed using an artificial intelligence–based image processing model and has been patented. The software operates without the need for additional hardware such as glasses or external cameras.
With EyeMo, users can control their computers as well as connected devices including lights, air conditioners, and televisions solely through eye movements. The solution aims to make computer use more comfortable and accessible for individuals who are unable to use their hands, while also promoting equal access to information and digital life.
Türk Telekom said the project reflects its goal of supporting the active participation of people with disabilities in social life and building an inclusive and accessible digital future through human-centered, free technologies.
EyeMo is available for free download via Türk Telekom’s official website.
“Developed Entirely with Domestic Resources”
Commenting on the launch, Gökhan Evren, Deputy General Manager of Information Technologies at Türk Telekom, said the company focuses on developing innovative projects that create value across society.
Emphasizing that accessibility is not merely a social responsibility but a core component of sustainable digital transformation, Evren stated:
“Through university–industry collaborations and R&D efforts, EyeMo was developed entirely with domestic resources and productized by our information technology teams. By offering this software free of charge, we support the independent and equal participation of individuals who cannot use their hands due to muscular disorders such as ALS and paralysis. We will continue to develop projects that transform the power of technology into social benefit.”
Türk Telekom noted that EyeMo represents another step in leveraging technology to improve quality of life and promote digital inclusion for all.
