Türk Telekom Reports ₺10.2 Billion Net Profit in Q3

Türk Telekom CEO Ebubekir Şahin said, “As Türk Telekom, we will continue to be the flag bearer in building the digital future.”

Türk Telekom announced a net profit of ₺10.2 billion for the third quarter of 2025, according to the company’s financial and operational results.

The company’s consolidated revenues rose 10.7% year-on-year to ₺59.5 billion, while EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) increased 21.6% to ₺26.7 billion, corresponding to an EBITDA margin of 44.9%.

In the same period, Türk Telekom made investments totaling ₺21.7 billion.

As of the end of the third quarter, the company had 56.2 million total subscribers. With its continued efforts to expand high-speed internet access across Turkey, Türk Telekom’s fiber network length reached 514,000 kilometers, fiber home coverage increased to 33.9 million, and the ratio of LTE base stations connected by fiber rose to 56%, which is crucial for 5G readiness.

The company also achieved its best-ever quarterly performance in mobile, gaining 2.3 million new subscribers and increasing its mobile customer base to 30.8 million.

“A New Era for Turkey’s Digital Future”

CEO Ebubekir Şahin described the third quarter as a turning point for both Türk Telekom and Turkey’s digital transformation journey.

He highlighted that the company had renewed its fixed-line concession agreements in line with Turkey’s national interests and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the country’s digital backbone.

“We will contribute $20 billion directly to the economy,” Şahin said. “In addition, following the 5G spectrum auction held on October 16, we secured the frequencies that allow us to offer the highest bandwidth per subscriber. This strong position in the 5G auction will significantly expand our capacity and shape the technologies of the future.”

Şahin added,

“We are proud to close this period — marked by key developments in digital innovation — with an exceptional quarterly performance. These results reflect the tangible outcomes of our digital transformation strategy, our investments, and our vision of preparing Turkey for the future. Türk Telekom will continue to be the flag bearer on the journey to build the digital future.”

Record Performance in Mobile

Şahin emphasized that Türk Telekom recorded the best quarterly performance in its mobile segment, supported by the company’s long-term strategies and timely investments.

“Our mobile subscriber base reached 30.8 million, with 2.3 million net additions — a historic record. We regained our leadership in the MNT market and achieved over 4 million net postpaid subscriber additions in the past 12 months,” he noted.

The company aims to offer the most comprehensive mobile experience across Turkey by integrating its fiber infrastructure with mobile networks, while continuing to grow its mobile operations sustainably.

Expanding Fiber Infrastructure

Şahin also shared details on the company’s expanding fiber network:

“Our fixed broadband base reached 15.5 million, and our fiber subscribers increased by 144,000 to 14.2 million. Fiber users now make up 92% of our total broadband customers, up from 87.9% a year ago. With the renewal of our fixed-line concession, we accelerated our strategic investments — expanding our fiber network from 496,000 km in Q2 to 514,000 km in Q3, covering 33.9 million homes.”

Largest Green Financing Portfolio in the Telecom Sector

Türk Telekom continued to secure financing for major strategic projects such as the fixed-line concession renewal and 5G spectrum purchases.

Between September and October 2025, the company successfully completed a $1.8 billion financing program, raising cost-effective, long-term funding from global markets.

This included a $600 million seven-year green eurobond issuance, which was oversubscribed by more than three times, expanding Türk Telekom’s green financing portfolio to $1.1 billion — the largest in the telecom sector.

Additionally, the company secured four long-term loan agreements worth $612 million and issued $600 million in five-year sukuk bonds.

“These transactions reflect the confidence international financial institutions have in Türk Telekom’s solid fundamentals and disciplined balance sheet management,” Şahin said.

Leading the 5G Transition

Şahin highlighted that Türk Telekom achieved the strongest outcome in Turkey’s 5G spectrum auction, reinforcing its leadership in the mobile market.

“We secured valuable frequencies that will solidify our role as a game-changer in the mobile segment. As a result, we now have the highest capacity per subscriber in the 3.5 GHz band and overall,” he said.

Türk Telekom’s total spectrum portfolio expanded to 315 MHz, and with 56% of its LTE base stations connected to fiber, the company exceeds global 2030 targets for network readiness.

“The commercial launch of 5G, planned for April 2026, will mark the beginning of a new era powered by our robust infrastructure and extensive fiber backbone,” Şahin noted.
“Through our pioneering 5G projects in healthcare, agriculture, transportation, sports, and tourism, we are demonstrating both our network capabilities and our ability to apply next-generation technologies effectively. As in every phase of communication, we will continue to lead in the 5G era.”
