Turk Telekom to Establish Subsidiary in Northern Cyprus with $100 Million Investment Plan

Ankara, July 11, 2025 — Türk Telekom has announced plans to establish a new company in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to expand its presence in the region and bolster the country’s digital infrastructure.

According to a statement filed with the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the newly formed company will have a minimum capital of €50,000 and will operate in the telecommunications sector, focusing on providing fixed infrastructure services.

The company’s ownership structure will consist of:

Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. holding 99.99%

TTNET A.Ş. holding 0.01%

Türk Telekom stated that it plans to invest approximately $100 million in the venture. The investment aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the TRNC by deploying high-speed fiber internet and strengthening the country’s telecommunications backbone.

“With the planned investment of around $100 million, we aim to enable the transformation to high-speed fiber internet and strengthen the digital backbone of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,” the company noted in its statement.

This move aligns with Türk Telekom’s broader strategy of regional expansion and digital infrastructure development across the Turkish-speaking world.
