Turkey: 2021 September housing price index announced

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) shared the September housing price index data. The housing price index, which increased by 3.2% in September 2021 compared to the previous month, increased by 35.5% in nominal terms and by 13.3% in real terms compared to the same month of the previous year.

The House Price Index (PPI) increased by 3.2% month on month to 198.8 in September.

The Housing Price Index data for September 2021 has been announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).

The (KFE) (2017=100), calculated to monitor the quality-adjusted price changes of residences in Turkey, increased by 3.2% in September compared to the previous month and became 198.8.

While the Housing Price Index increased by 35.5% in September compared to the same month of 2020, the real increase in this period was 13.3%.

Looking at the housing price index change for the 3 big cities, in September, an increase of 4.0, 3.2 and 2.0% was seen in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, compared to the previous month. Index values increased by 32.6% in Istanbul, 30.9% in Ankara and 34.8% in Izmir compared to the same month of the previous year.
