Emlak Participation achieved a net profit of ₺2.8 billion in 2022

Emlak Participation General Manager Ilker Sirtkaya: – “In 2022, we achieved a growth performance above the banking and participation finance sector in the areas in which we operate” – “We provided ₺54.7 billion support to the country’s economy in 2022”

Emlak Participation recorded a net profit of ₺2.8 billion with an increase of 1,865% last year.

According to the statement made by the bank, Emlak Participation continued to grow steadily in line with its targets, as well as introducing products like no other to the sector in 2022.

Emlak Participation General Manager Ilker Sirtkaya, whose views are included in the statement, stated that they have made significant contributions to the country’s economy, real sector and employment since the day they started operating as a participation bank.

Stating that they completed the year 2022 quite efficiently and successfully, Sirtkaya said:

‘In 2022, we achieved a growth performance above the banking and participation finance sector in the fields we operate. Our asset size, which was ₺38.7 billion in 2021, increased by 159% and reached ₺100.2 billion in 2022. Funds collected increased by 196% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached ₺79.2 billion. While we achieved a 102% growth in the funds provided, our volume increased from ₺21.9 billion to ₺44.3 billion in 2022. Thus, we provided ₺54.7 billion of support to the national economy in 2022. In 2022, we achieved a significant success with a net profit of ₺2.8 billion, an increase of 1.865%. As the youngest member of the participation finance sector, we are pleased with these figures. We are projecting a similar performance in 2023 with our dynamic balance sheet management and qualified human resources. I would like to thank my colleagues, our board of directors, and all our stakeholders, especially our customers who supported and trusted us, for their great efforts in achieving these successful results.’

‘We aim to increase the number of our branches to 120 by the end of this year’

Stating that their product and service portfolios are getting richer day by day, Sirtkaya stated that they brought many unique products to the sector in 2022, and that they both strengthened their digital infrastructure and continued to expand their branch network in order to make these products and services more accessible and develop them.

Stating that they closed 2022 with 80 branches, but they have now reached 88 branches with the branches they opened in the first 3 months of this year, Sirtkaya said, “We aim to increase the number of our branches to 120 by the end of this year. As Emlak Participation, we aim to expand our investments in competent human resources and sustainable and innovative financing models by focusing on digital, we will resolutely continue our works that will support the real estate sector, agriculture, exports, industries based on import substitution, projects based on the environment and sustainability, and will contribute positively to employment and growth in the future.’
