Turkey: Hydroelectric power plants with dams rank first in electricity production

807 thousand 307 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis in Turkey yesterday, while consumption was 812 thousand 605 megawatt-hours.

According to the data of Turkiye Elektrik Iletisim Inc. at 10.00, the highest electricity consumption was at 12.00 with 37 thousand 882 megawatt-hours yesterday, and the lowest consumption was at 07.00 with 27 thousand 404 megawatt-hours.

On a daily basis, 807 thousand 307 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced yesterday, and consumption was recorded as 812 thousand 605 megawatt-hours.

Hydroelectric power plants with dams took the first place in production with a share of 24.3%. This was followed by natural gas power plants with 17.9% and lignite power plants with 14%.

On the other hand, 12 thousand 788 megawatt-hours of electricity were exported and 18 thousand 86 megawatt-hours of electricity was imported yesterday.
