Service Producer Price Index increased by 1.21% on a monthly basis and 76.99% annually in October

Services Producer Price Index (S-PPI) increased by 1.21% on a monthly basis and 76.99% on an annual basis in October.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced S-PPI data for October.

Accordingly, S-PPI increased by 1.21% in October compared to the previous month, 74.08% compared to December last year, 76.99% compared to the same month last year and 77.1% compared to the twelve-month averages.

Compared to the same month last year, the index increased by 63.9% in transportation and storage services, 94.9% in accommodation and food services, 81.38% in information and communication services, and 72.57% in real estate services, 92.53% in professional, scientific and technical services, and 95.1% in administrative and support services.

Compared to the previous month, S-PPI increased by 1.61% in transportation and storage services, 3.03% in information and communication services, 0.36% in real estate services, and 4.52% in professional, scientific and technical services, it recorded a decrease of 0.53% in accommodation and food services and 1.54% in administrative and support services.

According to the annual S-PPI, 7 sub-sectors showed lower changes and 20 sub-sectors showed higher changes.

Among the S-PPI sectors, water transport services, air transport services, 41.67%, storage and support services (for transportation) were the sub-sectors where the indices increased the least, with 16.32%.

Motion picture, video and television program production services were recorded as the sub-sectors with the highest increase in the indices, with 134.6%, building and landscaping services with 128.75%, and advertising and market research services with 109.79%.

According to the monthly S-PPI, 6 sub-sectors showed lower changes and 21 sub-sectors showed higher changes.

Among the S-PPI sectors, accommodation services with 10.53%, travel agency, tour operator, other reservation services and related services with 8.37%, and air transportation services with 3.09% were the sub-sectors where the indices showed the highest decrease. On the other hand, programming and publishing services with 19.25%, advertising and market research services with 11.36%, and information services with 6.8% were calculated as the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most.
