Manufacturing sector receives lion’s share of investments, industry minister says
Turkey issued 672 investment incentive certificates in July which paved the way for 19,407 new jobs and investments worth 15 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion), the Turkish industry and technology minister said on Tuesday.
In a Twitter post, Mustafa Varank said that 76.8% of the investments were made in the manufacturing industry.
Other sectors in which the investments were made were services (12.4%), energy (4.2%),agriculture (3.7%), and mining (2.9%), according to the minister’s post.
He also said that the number of investment incentive certificates during the first seven months of this year increased by 28.2% on a yearly basis.
