Turkey has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into imports of woven fabrics made from synthetic or artificial staple fibers originating from the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, and Egypt.
According to a communiqué prepared by the Ministry of Trade and published in the Official Gazette, the decision came after it was determined that anti-dumping measures previously imposed on similar products originating from China were being circumvented through imports from these three countries.
Following an evaluation, the Ministry decided to open an investigation into the imports of “woven fabrics made of synthetic or artificial staple fibers” from the UAE, South Korea, and Egypt, to prevent the circumvention of existing anti-dumping measures.
The communiqué also outlines the procedures and principles governing the newly launched investigation.
