Turkey made the most exports to Germany in the first quarter

Exports to Germany increased by $586 million 483 thousand in the first 3 months compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $4 billion 210 million 228 thousand.

Germany was Turkey’s top exporting country in the first quarter of this year with a share of 9.34%.

According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) data, Turkey’s exports increased by 17.3% in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period last year, reaching $50 billion 23 million 412 thousand.

Turkey made the most exports to Germany in the first quarter of the year. Exports to Germany increased by $586 million 483 thousand in the first three months compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $4 billion 210 million 228 thousand. Germany’s share of Turkey’s exports was 9.34%.

Germany was followed by the UK, USA, Italy, France, Spain and Iraq in the countries with the highest exports.

During the said period, Turkey’s foreign sales increased by $308 million 625 thousand to the United Kingdom to $2 billion 742 million 176 thousand, to the USA to $2 billion 705 million 435 thousand with an increase of $716 million 275 thousand, increased to $2 billion 514 million 251 thousand by increasing $449 million 910 thousand to Italy, increased by $451 million 933 thousand to France to $2 billion 132 million 139 thousand, to Spain by $361 million 144 thousand to $2 billion 26 million 908 thousand, and rose to $1 billion 875 million 110 thousand with an increase of $250 million 134 thousand to Iraq.

During this period, the most exports to Germany were from Istanbul

Germany, to which Turkey exports the most, was the second country to which the most exports were made in terms of quantity.

The sector that exports the most to Germany has been recorded as the automotive industry. The foreign sales of the automotive industry to Germany increased by $129 million 373 thousand in the first quarter compared to the same period last year and reached $1 billion 100 million 530 thousand.

The most exports to Germany were from Istanbul in this period. The foreign sales of Istanbul-based companies to Germany increased by $251 million 669 thousand in the first three months compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $1 billion 848 million 314 thousand.

Bursa, Izmir, Kocaeli, Manisa and Ankara followed Istanbul, which exports the most to Germany. In the period in question, Bursa’s export to Germany increased by $77 million 793 thousand, Izmir’s exports increased by $26 million 431 thousand, Kocaeli’s exports increased by $37 million 369 thousand, Manisa’s exports increased by $44 million 390 thousand and Ankara’s exports increased by $6 million 538 thousand.

The highest increase in terms of quantity is in the USA

According to the data, Turkey made the highest increase in exports to the USA in the first quarter compared to the same period of the previous year. The highest decrease was recorded in Saudi Arabia.

Exports to Saudi Arabia decreased by $754 million 379 thousand to $56 million 229 thousand.

During the said period, Turkey’s exports decreased by $92 million 690 thousand to Yemen to $208 million to 27 thousand, to the Netherlands by $53 million 271 thousand to $1 billion 273 million 553 thousand, decreased by $48 million 419 thousand to Luxembourg, to $13 million 651 thousand, to Ethiopia with a decrease of $47 million 579 thousand to $46 million 772 million.
