THY’s number of passengers in July reached 8.6 million

The total number of passengers of Turkish Airlines (THY), which was 7.9 million in July 2022, increased by 9% to 8.6 million in the same period of 2023.

According to the statement made by Turkish Airlines, while the number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 2.4 million in July 2022, it increased by 11.6% to 2.7 million in the same period of 2023.

Passenger load factor decreased by 0.3 points in July 2023 compared to the same period of 2022 and became 85.8%. In the same period, the occupancy rate abroad was 84.8%, while the domestic occupancy rate was 94.2%.

While the Total Seats Supplied Km (AKK) was 20.5 billion in July 2022, it increased by 6.7% to 21.9 billion in the same period of 2023.

Cargo-Mail transported, which was 146 thousand tons in July 2022, decreased by 2.4% to 142.5 thousand tons in the same period of 2023.

JANUARY-JULY PERIOD

THY’s total number of passengers, which was 38.8 million in the January-July 2022 period, increased by 22% to 47.3 million in the same period of 2023.

While the number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 12.3 million in the January – July 2022 period, it increased by 36% to 16.7 million in the same period of 2023.

Passenger load factor increased by 4.7 points in the January-July 2023 period compared to the same period of 2022 and became 82.3%. While the international load factor was 82.2%, the domestic load factor was 83.2%.

While the Total Seats Supplied Km (AKK) was 111.1 billion in the January – July 2022 period, it increased by 19.4% to 132.7 billion in the same period of 2023.

While the Cargo-Mail carried was 965.2 thousand tons in the January – July 2022 period, it was determined as 890.3 thousand tons with a decrease of 7.8% in the same period of 2023.
