Spot market natural gas prices for Thursday, Sept. 3

The trade volume of Turkey’s spot natural gas market increased by 9.8% to 4.46 million Turkish liras on Thursday, Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Friday.

Total trade on Wednesday amounted to 4.06 million liras.

On Thursday’s spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 1,310 liras, while the total natural gas trade volume amounted to 3.4 million cubic meters.

Turkey received 126.1 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Thursday.

US$1 equals 7.44 Turkish liras at 1107 GMT on Friday.

Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Sept. 5

The highest electricity rate for one megawatt-hour in the day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 314.60 Turkish liras at 20.00 local time and the lowest will be 222.56 liras at 06.00 local time, according to official figures on Friday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Friday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 13.9% to 167.6 million liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 290.06 liras and 292.34 liras,respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market on Friday was set as 315.86 liras at 15.00 local time and the lowest at 296.70 liras at 05.00 local time.

US$1 equals 7.44 Turkish liras at 1121 GMT on Friday.
