Turkish defense company ARCA Savunma has announced the successful acquisition of Esplodenti Sabino, a prominent Italy-based manufacturer of munitions and explosives.
According to ARCA’s statement, the acquisition was finalized following extended negotiations led by ARCA Chairman İsmail Terlemez. The move marks a significant step in ARCA’s international expansion and technological capabilities.
Esplodenti Sabino is known for its work with NATO member states and the Italian Ministry of Defense, specializing in ammunition, missile, and explosive disposal — making it one of the few companies in Europe with such expertise.
ARCA Savunma, headquartered in Ankara, produces artillery, mortar, and small arms ammunition, as well as 20–40 km range rockets and plastic explosives. The company also operates a regional office in Milan, while Esplodenti Sabino conducts production at its Casalbordino facility in Italy.
The acquisition is expected to enhance ARCA’s presence in Europe and boost its role in NATO-aligned defense supply chains.
