BIST 100 falls nearly 384 points from previous close
Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed the day at 109,637.08 points on Monday, down 0.35% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index started the week at 110,331.85 points. As of the daily close, it had earned 384.75 points from Friday’s close of 110,021.83 points.
During the day, the index’s lowest level was 110,156.59 points, while the highest was 111,042.82 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 786 billion Turkish liras ($116 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 13 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion).
The price of Brent oil was $40.95 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Monday.
