Electricity exports amount to 13,785 megawatt-hours and imports total 14,392 megawatt-hours
Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 4.3% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 942,499 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,873 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,690 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 942,028 megawatt-hours on Saturday,marking a 4.3% decrease compared to Friday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 20.56% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.34% while natural gas comprised 20.31%.
On Saturday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 13,785 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,392 megawatt-hours.
