ULAK Communications Inc. General Manager Zafer Orhan stated that they exported ULAK base stations to 2 countries, one from the Turkic Republics and the other from Africa, and said, “At the GSMA World Mobile Congress, we agreed with 4 countries to try the ULAK base station.”
Orhan told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they took part in the “GSMA World Mobile Congress” held in Barcelona, Spain, with Turkey’s first domestic and national base station ULAK.
Noting that they showcased the ULAK base station for the first time at an international fair, Orhan said:
“There was great interest in the ULAK base station at the fair. We are actively operating the base station in Turkey, where 3 operators serve simultaneously, both in commercial networks and within the scope of universal service, in response to the products of domestic and international companies. Last year, we exported ULAK base stations to 2 countries abroad, one from the Turkic Republics and the other from Africa. At the GSMA World Mobile Congress, we agreed with 4 countries to try the ULAK base station. Some of these demands wanted to be used in commercial networks and some in private networks. We will start working as soon as possible to convert these offers into orders.”
Emphasizing that when they look at the technologies exhibited at the fair, they see that Turkey is on a global scale in terms of technology, he said that 5G, metaverse and green technology came to the fore in the fair, where no new technology took place.
Stating that the emerging 5G technologies were discussed and products for this purpose were exhibited, Orhan underlined that the ULAK base station is currently among the most competent products nationally in Turkey regarding 5G technology.
WE CREATED A TEAM FOR ACADEMIC STUDIES
Orhan stated that as ULAK Communication Inc., they exhibited 5G products as well as the base station, and said that they exchanged views with companies that are competent in software.
Mentioning that they are also working on cloud technologies, Orhan noted that they have formed a team for academic studies on this subject in Turkey within the scope of the Presidency of Defense Industry Project regarding 6G technology, which has started to be talked about in the world.
Orhan emphasized that as a result of the work of the said team, they plan to launch 150 patented products in the 6G standard after about 4 years, he said “We want to be the game creator in software.”
Noting that they transferred the core team of an important technology company for ULAK technology studies, Orhan underlined that they formed the most important team in Turkey’s 4.5G, 5G and 6G studies and that their progress would accelerate.
