Turkey’s Foreign Producer Price Index Rises 25.19% Annually in November

The Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-UFE) in Turkey recorded an annual increase of 25.19% in November, while it decreased by 0.86% on a monthly basis. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) released the YD-UFE data for November, revealing notable trends. According to the report, the index fell by 0.86% compared to the previous month. However, it showed increases of 22.39% compared to December of the previous year, 25.19% compared to the same month of the previous year, and 44.56% based on the 12-month moving average.

Annual changes in the industry’s two key sectors showed a 24.18% increase in mining and quarrying and a 25.21% rise in manufacturing. Among the main industrial groupings, intermediate goods prices increased by 22.99%, durable consumer goods by 30.39%, non-durable consumer goods by 25.44%, energy by 4.19%, and capital goods by 31.18%.

On a monthly basis, there was a 3.01% decline in mining and quarrying and a 0.82% drop in manufacturing. The main industrial groupings also recorded monthly decreases, with intermediate goods declining by 0.85%, durable consumer goods by 0.29%, energy by 1.91%, non-durable consumer goods by 0.15%, and capital goods by 1.49%. These figures reflect inflationary pressures and pricing trends for goods exported to foreign markets, offering insight into broader economic dynamics.
