Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKIB) Coordinator Chairman Nejdat Sin reported that the members of the union made exports of $1.42 billion in January.
Nejdat Sin, in his written statement, stated that his unions entered the new year quickly.
Stating that they are Turkey’s record holder in January exports, Sin said, “Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations achieved an export of $1.42 billion in January by increasing 43% compared to the same period of the previous year. By supporting the country’s exports by 8.8% in January, we became the union that achieved the highest increase in foreign sales volume among 13 general secretariats across Turkey.”
Sin also evaluated the exports of his unions by sectors and said:
“Our Mediterranean Chemicals and Products Exporters’ Association realized the most exports in January, with an increase of 108% and $472.2 million. Our Mediterranean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association took the second place with an increase of 28% and $333.5 million, and our Mediterranean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association ranked third with an increase of 53% and $163.2 million.”
Stating that AKİB’s efforts to increase market diversity were reflected positively in the reports in the first month of the year, Sin informed that they achieved the strongest performance in export volume in the Singapore market.
