Turkia Aviation aims to fly 80% of the world balloons with the Turkish patent

Turkia Aviation company aims to fly 80% of the balloons in the world with Turkish patents in 4 years.

LNG incineration units developed by Turkia Aviation will reduce the cost of imported combustion unit and hot air balloon by 40%.

According to the statement made by the company, Turkia Aviation conducting R&D studies at Cube Incubation, the Incubation Center of Technopark Istanbul, has developed a combustion unit that uses liquefied natural gas (LNG) for hot air balloons.

Hot air balloons, which are currently flown with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), will save 40% with new burning units with LNG. In addition, the energy value of LNG flights will be approximately 50% higher than alternative gases. In other words, it will be sufficient to carry two tubes instead of four spare fuel tubes and thus the number of passengers will be increased. The patented product will also reduce the number of spare fuel tubes by half, thanks to its high energy value. The company aims to fly 80% of the balloons in the world with the Turkish patent in 4 years.

The cost will be reduced by 40%

According to the details given in the statement, an average of 8 thousand hot air balloons are sold every year in the world. All of them have LPG burning units and these burning units are costly. LNG incineration units developed by Turkia Aviation will reduce the cost of imported combustion units and hot air balloons, normally between 70 thousand and €130 thousand, by 40%. The gas generated during the use of the product, which offers higher reliability than the LPG unit, disappears in the air and the carbon emission values decrease significantly. This prevents the product from harming nature and human health.

Turkia Aviation aims to transform 80% of the world’s hot air balloon industry with “Made in Turkey” combustion units in the next four years with the LNG incinerator, which is expected to be commercialized in 2021. The environmentally friendly, low-cost, high-energy efficient product is developed to be used in energy generators of large industrial establishments, especially tourism, hotels and restaurants, and small passenger cars.

Balloon tourism in Turkey

There are 10 flight zones determined by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, which will provide high tourism income. Flight permits are also issued by DGCA. With 350 hot air balloons, Nevsehir-Cappadocia attracts attention as the largest flight destination. There are 70 hot air balloons flying in Denizli-Pamukkale and 15 in Mardin. We expect flights to 7 regions, including Urfa Gobeklitepe, Kayseri and Ordu, to start this summer. The main use of balloons in Turkey and in the world is tourism. They are also used in meteorology, exploratory studies, and in scientific studies in geographically difficult areas.

Speaking in the statement, Turkia Aviation Founder Huseyin Dinc stated that they have recently made preparations for the promotion of TRNC with balloon tourism and said, “We will make touristic flights from Anamur to Kyrenia and Famagusta with balloons where we will use our own incineration units.”

Turkia, which received a patent with 20 years of examination for the incinerator unit with LNG, continues to search for competent academicians with whom they will work in this field. The company, which refuses to offer patent purchasing and partnership from Germany and Spain, is preparing to adapt the new generation combustion unit to different sectors with small changes.
