Turkish Airlines Cancels Flights to Greece and Germany Due to Strikes

Turkish Airlines (THY) has canceled several scheduled flights to Greece and Germany on February 27 and 28 due to planned strikes in both countries.

According to a statement from THY’s Press Office, a general strike in Greece on February 28 (Friday) has led to the cancellation of the following flights:

  • Istanbul – Athens – Istanbul: TK 1841, TK 1842, TK 1843, TK 1844, TK 1847, TK 1848, TK 1849, TK 1850
  • Istanbul – Thessaloniki – Istanbul: TK 1881, TK 1882, TK 1893, TK 1894

Meanwhile, in Germany, a 48-hour warning strike by public sector and ground handling staff at Munich Airport has forced the cancellation of Istanbul-Munich-Istanbul flights on both February 27 and 28.

Canceled flights to and from Munich include:

  • February 27: TK 1629, TK 1630, TK 1633, TK 1634, TK 1635, TK 1636, TK 1637, TK 1638
  • February 28: TK 1629, TK 1630, TK 1633, TK 1634, TK 1635, TK 1636, TK 1638

Passengers affected by these cancellations are advised to check the latest updates and alternative flight options via Turkish Airlines’ official channels.
