Turkish Airlines’ 74.3 million passengers in 2019 remained at the level of 44.8 million in 2021. The occupancy rate decreased to 67.9%.
Turkish Airlines announced its traffic results for the period of December 2021. The statement made to KAP is as follows:
- The total number of passengers, which was 5.5 million in December 2019, reached 4.3 million in the same period of 2021.
- Passenger load factor was 71.1% in December 2021.
- Cargo-Mail carried, which was 138,446 tons in December 2019, reached 151,441 tons with an increase of 9.4% in the same period of 2021.
TRAFFIC RESULTS FOR 2021 PERIOD
• The total number of passengers, which was 74.3 million in the January – December 2019 period, reached 44.8 million in the same period of 2021.
• Passenger load factor decreased by 13.8 points compared to the same period of 2019, and realized as 67.9%.
• While the Total Seats Supplied Km (AKK) was 187.7 billion in the January – December 2019 period, it decreased by 31.9% to 127.8 billion in the same period of 2021.
• Cargo-Mail carried, which was 1.544.341 tons in the January – December 2019 period, increased by 21.7% to 1.879.552 tons in the same period of 2021.
• By the end of December 2021, the number of aircraft in the fleet reached 370.
