Turkish Airlines Expands Fleet to 500 Aircraft in 2024

Turkish Airlines (THY) General Manager Bilal Eksi announced that the airline’s fleet will reach 500 aircraft this year.

Sharing a chart on his social media account, Eksi highlighted the steady growth in THY’s fleet over the years.

According to the data:

  • By 2028, THY aims to increase its total revenue to $37 billion and expand its fleet to 631 aircraft.
  • By 2033, the airline targets $50 billion in revenue with a fleet of 813 aircraft.

Eksi emphasized that THY ranked 35th in the world in 2003 with just 65 aircraft. However, by adding its 500th aircraft this year, the airline has climbed to 9th place globally in fleet size.
