Turkish Airlines Resumes Flights to Libya’s Second Largest City, Benghazi

January 14, 2025, 13:49:51 (THYAO) – The flag carrier airline connecting Africa to the most destinations worldwide, Turkish Airlines, has resumed its flights to Benghazi, Libya, as of January 14, 2025. With this addition, Turkish Airlines now serves a total of 64 destinations across the continent.

The Benghazi flights will be operated using Boeing 737-78D aircraft three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Commenting on the resumption of flights to Benghazi, Turkish Airlines General Manager Bilal Eksi stated:
“As Turkish Airlines, we are thrilled to once again experience the excitement of connecting continents, this time in Benghazi, Libya’s second-largest city. We are delighted to restart operations to Benghazi, a city with which we share historical ties. We foresee that the region’s increasing investments will further enhance the tourism and trade capabilities of the continent. Within the framework of evolving market conditions and growing demand, we will continue diversifying Africa’s gateways to the world.”

The statement also included details of a special promotion:
“Turkish Airlines passengers who purchase tickets by February 15, 2025, can travel from Istanbul to Benghazi for as low as $349 USD and from Benghazi to Istanbul for $249 USD until March 20, 2025. These promotional prices apply to tickets purchased via Turkish Airlines’ official website but may vary at ticket sales offices and agencies.”
