According to the statement made by the THY Press Office, Turkish Airlines performed its first direct flight to the Philippines on 30 March 2015 with 3 frequencies to the capital Manila. THY expanded its flight network in this country with the flight it started to Cebu City on January 3rd.
The new route, which will operate 3 reciprocal flights per week, serves both destinations in this country. In this context, the flight will follow the route of Istanbul Airport (IST) – Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) – Mactan Cebu International Airport (CEB), on the return of the flight, CEB-MNL-IST will be followed.
THY has connected Cebu City to more than 320 destinations in more than 120 countries of the world with its new destination.

Cebu City, the oldest city in the Philippines, is also known as the “Queen City of the South” due to its economic and cultural importance. The city is also home to the country’s second-largest sea port.
