Turkish Airlines is set to continue dominating travel between Turkey and the United States, with Ishrion Aviation sharing that the carrier will boost its Colorado connection to daily frequencies from next June.
Daily services to Denver
The Istanbul-based carrier only commenced direct services to Colorado state this June, currently operating a four-week service. With the service going to daily from June 9, 2025, the airline will deploy an Airbus A350-900 on the route. Representing almost 1,000 extra seats in each direction each week (96 business, and 891 economy class depending on the two types of A350-900 configuration TK operates).
Turkish Airlines has no plans to slow down, with many new US destinations poised to join the carrier network already. The Star Alliance carrier serves Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC and faces no direct competition on these routes from any other carrier.

12 hours direct to Denver
According to Flightradar24, the Turkish carrier’s flight between Istanbul International Airport (IST) and Denver International Airport (DEN) is currently served by the airline’s Airbus A350-900 . This aircraft, which has several different configurations, can accommodate up to 32 lie-flat business class seats and has a capacity of 297 for economy class.
The current four daily services to Denver depart this November from Istanbul at TK201 at 14:30 for the nearly 12-hour journey to Denver, Colorado, touching down at 17:40 local time.It returns as TK202 at 19:35 and flying overnight for nearly 11 hours to arrive in Istanbul at 17:20 the next day.
Many of the airline’s passengers are not solely destined for Istanbul Airport . The world’s largest airline by international destinations offers an extensive network of connecting flights across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Passengers can easily connect with itineraries such as Denver to South Africa, Egypt, India, or the Maldives with just one stop in Istanbul .
Up to 20 direct USA routes
Currently, Turkish Airlines operates 14 direct routes to the United States , all un-contested, and the carrier plans to announce several additional US services in the new year. With up to 20 planned, the carrier could soon be serving an airport near you.
While Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport are poised to be the front runners, it’s anyone’s guess on where could be next. Could we see the likes of Las Vegas McCarran International Airport , Orlando International Airport or Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport join the pack (only a suggestion) in the next few years? Only time will tell.
Turkish Airlines also made headlines earlier this year when it began its long-awaited service to Australia . The airline currently serves Melbourne Airport via Singapore but plans to serve Sydney via Kuala Lumpur starting December 5.
North of the border, in Canada, Turkish Airlines is also steadily growing its Canadian network. It offers services to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (Quebec), Toronto Pearson International Airport (Ontario), and Vancouver International Airport (British Columbia). All three can still serve as an alternative gateway for American passengers, given their proximity to the US border.
