ISTANBUL, Türkiye — Patrop Group İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a Turkish aluminum-profile manufacturer that exported to more than 100 countries across six continents, has been declared bankrupt following the collapse of its restructuring efforts. The ruling was issued by the Istanbul 2nd Commercial Court of First Instance after the company failed to recover through a court-supervised concordat (debt restructuring) process.
Founded approximately 15 years ago, Patrop Group grew into a significant player in the aluminum industry, operating two large production facilities and building an export network that reached markets across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania.
According to court records, the company had sought protection through a concordat process roughly three months ago as it struggled with financial pressures. However, rising production costs, exchange-rate volatility, and cash-flow difficulties reportedly undermined its recovery efforts, leading the court to reject the restructuring path and open bankruptcy proceedings.
The court ruled that Patrop Group’s bankruptcy officially took effect on May 21, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. The liquidation process will be carried out by the Istanbul Bankruptcy Office under standard bankruptcy procedures in accordance with Turkish insolvency law.

Patrop Group had been viewed as one of the notable success stories in Türkiye’s manufacturing sector, expanding from domestic production into a global exporter serving more than 100 countries. Its bankruptcy highlights the mounting financial challenges faced by industrial companies amid rising input costs, financing pressures, and volatile economic conditions.
What Happens Next?
Under the liquidation process, company assets will be identified, valued, and potentially sold to satisfy creditor claims. Authorities will also compile a formal list of creditors and oversee the distribution of proceeds according to Turkish bankruptcy regulations.
The collapse of Patrop Group marks one of the most notable industrial insolvencies reported in Türkiye this year, given the company’s international footprint and long-standing presence in the aluminum sector.
