Turkish Caviar Produced From Mersin Fish to Be Exported in 2027

Türkiye is preparing to enter the global caviar market with domestically produced caviar obtained from Mersin fish, which will be marketed internationally under the brand name “Turkish Caviar” starting in 2027.

The project aims to increase the value of Türkiye’s aquaculture industry by transforming locally sourced fish products into high-end export goods. Industry representatives say the initiative will support regional production, boost exports, and strengthen Türkiye’s presence in the premium seafood market.

Officials involved in the project stated that production processes and branding efforts are currently underway to meet international quality standards ahead of the planned export launch. The “Turkish Caviar” brand is expected to target luxury food markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Experts note that global demand for high-quality caviar has continued to grow in recent years, creating new opportunities for emerging producers. Türkiye’s favorable geography, aquaculture capacity, and expanding seafood industry are seen as advantages in competing within the international market.

The launch is also expected to contribute to employment and investment in the fisheries sector while promoting Turkish food products abroad under a nationally branded export strategy.
