Turkish Companies Seeking Investment On Wind Power Plants in Afghanistan

The head of 77 Turkish company has said that he was interested in investment in producing 200 megawatts of electricity from wind sources in Afghanistan.

The Acting Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, met with the Head of 77 Turkish Construction Company, Mr. Suleyman Ciliv, in his office and discussed and exchanged ideas about the development of joint cooperation of investment in the energy production projects from different sources.

In the meeting, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water praised the actions of the 77 Turkish company in Afghanistan and called the implementation of the second phase of the Kajaki Dam project by the mentioned company a valuable achievement for the people of Afghanistan.

Honorable Mansoor emphasized on the development of investment in energy projects and assured the head of 77 Turkish Company that the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Water is committed to all cooperation in preparing the investment opportunity with the mentioned company.

At the same time, the head of 77 Turkish company, Mr. Suleyman Ciliv, promised that in addition to the past cooperation, he is also willing to invest in the project of generating 200 megawatts of electricity from wind sources in Afghanistan.

In the end, both parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Energy and Water and 77 Turkish company to invest in a 200 megawatts wind power generation project as soon as possible, so that on the basis of this agreement,the practical works of this project will be started.
