The Turkish Competition Authority has launched an investigation into a group of companies operating in the cosmetics, personal care, and dietary supplement sectors. The companies under scrutiny include Cosmox Kozmetik San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., Vitaceel Kozmetik Gıda İth. İhr. San. ve Tic. AŞ, The Ceel Kozmetik İç ve Dış Ticaret AŞ, and Ceel Kozmetik ve Gıda AŞ, which together form an economic entity.
According to a statement published on the Authority’s official website, the Competition Board concluded a preliminary inquiry into the conduct of several undertakings in the mentioned sectors. The probe was initiated on the grounds that these companies may have engaged in resale price maintenance practices—specifically, by allegedly determining the resale prices of their products.
Cosmox operates under the “Bobel” brand, while Vitaceel and related entities operate under “The Ceel” brand.
The Authority emphasized that the decision to initiate a formal investigation does not imply that the companies have violated competition law or that they will necessarily face sanctions. It is a procedural step to further assess the findings of the preliminary inquiry.
