Minister Kacir: Turkish industry is a very important player in the European value chain

Minister of Industry and Technology Kacir said, “Turkish industry is a very important player in the European value chain. In each of these innovative technology areas, Kacir has a lot to contribute to Europe, and Europe has a lot to contribute to Turkiye.”

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir met with representatives of Turkish non-governmental organizations at the TOBB campus as part of his Brussels contacts and listened to their opinions and suggestions.

Explaining that Turkiye is an essential and indispensable element of the European value chain in many areas from culture to art, industry to trade, energy to transportation, Kacir noted that they find it very meaningful that large-scale companies benefit especially from EU programs effectively.

Underlining that the work done by NGO representatives with their interlocutors is valuable for Turkiye’s relations with the EU, Kacir stated that doing work that complements each other will enable them to reach results quickly together.

“Turkish industry is a very important player in the European value chain”

Kacir stated that they want to consider the EU as their stakeholders, not as a direct competitor in critical technologies, and said:

“Turkish industry is a very important player in the European value chain. In each of these innovative technology areas, Turkiye has a lot to contribute to Europe, and Europe has a lot to contribute to Turkiye. We are seeking to open the doors of these collaborations even more. What we can do together is work that will increase the mutual gains of both parties. Here, we will take the steps to be taken especially in the field of green transformation in coordination in the same direction as the EU and Turkiye. Because a strong Turkiye means the sustainability and security of the EU’s supply chains. In this regard, the EU must continue to see us as a strong stakeholder and handle the process with an approach beyond today’s.”
