Turkish firm offers door-to-door modern modular construction solutions

Prefabricated modular structures save fuel, time, raw material and costs

Turkish construction company Dorce is delivering tailor-made solutions all over the world.

The biggest advantage of modular steel structure technology is that structures produced in the factory are shipped as ready-to-install parts in the field, the firm said.

These structures provide great convenience.

In addition, while the margin of error is minimized with strict control mechanisms in the factory environment, the need for machinery, labor, and equipment in the field is reduced, thus fuel, raw materials, time, and freight costs are saved.

Dorce is producing containers that can be transported by helicopter and that are ready for use within minutes without the need for any machinery or equipment. It can serve even sloping lands up to seven degrees.

Combining the concept of sustainability with construction technology, the modular structures can be transported and reused if needed.

Recent projects

Before the pandemic, the firm was building an integrated worker accommodation facility for 4,000 people in Qatar. However, the firm adapted the project to build Umm Slal quarantine hospital, which has a capacity of 4,000 beds and can be increased up to 8,000 beds.

As part of the emergency and preventive measures taken by the Qatari government against the pandemic, the four-floor hospital buildings were completed in a very short period by using the prefabricated modular steel structure method.

After the earthquake in Bam, Iran, the company met the emergency accommodation needs of earthquake victims with prefabricated modular solutions in a very short time.

The modular housing units that can be dismantled and re-installed and easily transported continue to serve as student dormitories throughout Iran.
