Turkish lira exports increased to ₺10 billion 382 million

Exports in Turkish lira increased by 109% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached ₺10 billion 382 million in August.

According to the compilation made by the Ministry of Commerce, exports in August increased by 13% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $21.3 billion, while exports were $165.6 billion in the 8 months of the year. In August, foreign trade volume increased by 28% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $54 billion. August imports amounted to $32.6 billion.

Parallel to the increase in Turkiye’s foreign trade volume, foreign trade in Turkish lira also continued its upward trend.

While exports in Turkish lira were ₺7 billion 27 million in January, imports were ₺12 billion 135 million, the foreign trade volume was recorded as ₺19 billion 162 million. Exports were ₺8 billion 573 million in February, imports were ₺13 billion 514 million, and foreign trade volume was ₺22 billion 87 million. In March, the aforementioned exports were calculated as ₺9 billion 275 million, imports as ₺17 billion 157 million, and foreign trade volume as ₺26 billion 432 million.

In April, exports in Turkish lira reached ₺8 billion 421 million, imports reached ₺17 billion 590 million, and foreign trade volume reached ₺26 billion 11 million. In May, exports were ₺7 billion 442 million, imports were ₺19 billion 92 million, and trade volume was ₺26 billion 534 million.

Exports in Turkish lira were ₺9 billion 939 million in June, and imports were ₺22 billion 288 million. Foreign trade volume was calculated as ₺32 billion 226 million. The aforementioned export amount was recorded as ₺7 billion 953 million, imports as ₺18 billion 582 million and foreign trade volume as ₺26 billion 535 million in July.

Foreign trade volume with Turkish lira reached ₺34 billion 177 million in August

Exports in Turkish lira increased by 109% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached ₺10 billion 382 million in August. In this period, while imports in Turkish lira were ₺23 billion 795 billion, the foreign trade volume was determined as ₺34 billion 177 million.

In the January-August period of this year, exports increased by 75% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached ₺69 billion 11 million. In this period, imports in Turkish lira were recorded as ₺144 billion 151 million, and foreign trade volume was recorded as ₺213 billion 162 million.

In August, the number of countries to which exports were made in Turkish lira was 164, and the number of exporting companies was 6 thousand 439. In July, the number of countries was 159 and the number of exporting companies was 5,529.
