Turkish data-driven startup LemonRocks completes successful first funding round with participation from global investors and angel funds
LemonRocks, a prominent player in Turkiye’s data-centric startup and VC platform ecosystem, has successfully concluded its inaugural funding round with support from global investment firms and angel investors.
This investment, pegged at an $8 million valuation, will accelerate LemonRocks’ expansion into global markets and bolster its capacity to deliver innovative data solutions. H2O Ventures from Turkiye and Storm Global from Switzerland participated in this funding round.
Founded in late 2023, LemonRocks aims to become a major data provider for startups and VCs akin to industry giants like Crunchbase and PitchBook. The company also plans to venture into web3 data services, starting with matchmaking in the web3 industry. LemonRocks sets itself apart by promising faster and more relevant data compared to its competitors, crucial for providing accurate information to investors. The company’s strategic partnerships with industry leaders like DWF Labs and Ava Labs further underscore its credibility.
Yusuf Berkan Altun, founder of LemonRocks, brings extensive experience to the table with two successful exits and a background as a former technology journalist for Forbes. Leading the artificial intelligence functions is Emir Unluturk, while Tezcan Turasan, the company’s CTO, boasts significant expertise in web3 integrations and innovative projects within the sector.
Truman So, advisor to LemonRocks and a former employee of Crunchbase and Apple, expressed confidence in the company’s potential, stating, “I believe in LemonRocks’ potential and am thrilled to be part of their journey.”
Additionally, LemonRocks has received approval from U.S. authorities for crowdfunding and plans to launch a campaign soon on Republic.com. This milestone marks another step forward in LemonRocks’ strategic growth trajectory.
