Turkish Stock Market: Borsa İstanbul’s BIST 100 Index Closes Week with a 5.40% Loss; Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman AŞ Rises 22.95%, While Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Drops 15.97%
Borsa İstanbul’s BIST 100 index ended the week with an average loss of 5.40%, closing at 9,907.38 points. Among the stocks in the index, Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman AŞ saw the highest gain, surging by 22.95%. On the flip side, Kontrolmatik Teknoloji recorded the steepest decline, falling by 15.97%. The index fluctuated throughout the week, reaching a low of 9,733.35 points and a high of 10,193.88 points.
The Financials Index dropped by 8.17%, the Services Index decreased by 1.83%, the Industrials Index declined by 4.63%, and the Technology Index fell by 5.76%. Despite the overall downturn, some stocks managed to post gains, with Batıçim Batı Anadolu Çimento and Türk Hava Yolları among the top performers. Meanwhile, Yapı ve Kredi Bankası and Türkiye İş Bankası (C) were among the biggest losers.
