Benchmark index decreases 15.7 points from previous close
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 4,470.23 points, down by 0.35%, or 15.74 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed Wednesday at 4,485.97 points, down 0.45%, with a daily trading volume of 47 billion Turkish liras ($2.43 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 19.4820 as of 10.15 a.m. local time (0715GMT),the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 21.5680, while a British pound traded for 24.4860 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $72.95 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,043.50.
