Benchmark index earns 18.75 points from previous close
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 5,164.86 points, up by 0.36%, or 18.75 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed Wednesday at 5,146.11 points, up 0.43%, with a daily trading volume of 63 billion Turkish liras ($3.24 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 19.3301 as of 10.02 a.m. local time (0702GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 21.2246, while a British pound traded for 24.1327 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $87.06 per barrel,while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,035.15.
