Turkiye Achieves $262 Billion in Exports in 2024 with 31 Provinces Exceeding $1 Billion

The Ministry of Trade announced that 31 provinces in Türkiye surpassed $1 billion in exports in 2024, while export volumes increased in 54 provinces. The ministry shared detailed export data for the year by province.

According to the data, goods exports rose by 2.5% in 2024, reaching $262 billion, marking the highest export value in the history of the Republic. Istanbul led the way with $56.84 billion in exports, followed by Kocaeli with $32.01 billion and Izmir with $23.82 billion.

In terms of annual growth compared to the previous year, Kocaeli recorded the highest increase at $2.19 billion, followed by Corum with $2.10 billion and Eskisehir with $591 million.

Monthly Export Figures
In December 2024, Istanbul maintained its top position among provinces with a 0.9% increase in exports, reaching $4.91 billion compared to December 2023. Kocaeli followed with a 6.4% increase and $3.02 billion, while Izmir recorded an 8.7% decline with $2.14 billion. Bursa secured fourth place with a 2.5% increase and $1.63 billion, and Ankara ranked fifth with a 10.1% rise, reaching $1.14 billion.

Additionally, in December 2024, Corum led export growth among provinces with a $203 million increase compared to the same month in 2023. Kocaeli followed with a $181 million rise, Tekirdag with $115 million, Ankara with $105 million, and Eskisehir with $93 million.
