Turkiye: Agricultural Products Producer Price Index has been announced

Agricultural Products Producer Price Index increased by 11.08% in January compared to the previous month. On an annual basis, it increased by 142.84%.

In January, the agriculture-PPI increased by 11.08% compared to the previous month, by 11.08% compared to December of the previous year, by 142.84% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 139.25% on the averages of twelve months.

Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 1.27% in forestry products and related services, an increase of 2.73% in fish and other fishery products, and an increase of 11.50% in agricultural and hunting products and related services. Compared to the previous month, there was an 8.84% increase in one-year plant products, a 10.39% increase in live animals and animal products, and a 17.76% increase in perennial herbal products in the main groups compared to the previous month.

The subgroups with low annual increase were fibrous plants with 59.47%, sheep and goats with 94.65%, live animals, their unprocessed milk and fleece, respectively. On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest annual increase were citrus fruits with 266.98% and paddy with 183.09%, respectively.

The subgroups in which the monthly increase was low were paddy with 1.80% and cereals (excluding rice), legumes and oilseeds with 2.04%, respectively. On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest monthly increase were vegetables and melon-watermelon, roots and tubers with 18.51%, and live poultry and eggs with 14.08%.
