Turkiye became the country from which Kosovo imports the most in 2022

While Kosovo imports €5.6 billion in 2022, Turkiye took the first place among the countries with the highest imports.

Kosovo Customs Manager Agron Llugaliu, at the press conference he held regarding the data for the remaining 2022, said that his country imports mostly from Turkiye.

Noting that Kosovo imported €5.6 billion in 2022, this figure increased by approximately €1 billion compared to 2021, Llugaliu said that in 2022, his country’s exports amounted to €869 million.

Llugaliu said, “Turkiye is clearly the country we import the most from. This is partly due to the drop in the number of vehicles coming mainly from Germany, partly due to changing vehicle prices globally and limited supply.”

Llugaliu, who shared that they carried out 92 joint control operations with different institutions over the past year, and that 16 people were detained in this context, noted that in 2022, property worth €11.3 million was confiscated and a fine of €1.8 million was imposed.
