Benchmark BIST 100 index loses 30.38 points in Wednesday’s closing session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index BIST 100 closed Wednesday at 9,418.52 points, down 0.32% from the previous close.
The index, after opening the day at 9.473,60, fell 30.38 points from Tuesday’s close.
During the session, the index ranged between a low of 9,395.04 and a high of 9,484.00.
Out of all tracked indices, 59 declined, while 38 posted gains.
The daily transaction volume totaled 78.3 billion Turkish liras (approximately $1.97 billion), with the total market capitalization of the BIST 100 reaching 8.59 trillion liras ($217.2 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 39.7505 as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT),the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 46.2580, and the British pound traded at 54.1875.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,323.80, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $66.95.
